First of all, this is such a thrill. I wait all year long for this, and it’s finally, finally here. Opening week at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival!! We had really beautiful weather on opening day, and it’s just awesome to be among these artists again, to see the smiling patrons on campus enjoying outdoor performances, exploring the exhibits, and world-class shows.
Every summer, my wife, dance videographer Nel Shelby, and I move back into our cabin in the Berkshires to spend the summer photographing and filming the incredible artists who perform at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival. The festival runs for 10 weeks and each week includes 2 new mainstage dance performances and 4 free outdoor performances.
