I first photographed Leah & Travis in the spring for their engagement session in Washington, DC.

They used some of their engagement photos for an adorable welcome sign = )

I always say that doing engagement portraits ahead of the wedding is really important. It helps couples feel more comfortable in front of the camera, and it gives us time to get to know each other and learn how we work together.

The comfort and familiarity we built during their engagement session came through beautifully in Leah & Travis’ wedding photos.

They were open and relaxed, and we created portraits that truly felt like them. These photos tell a story… they weren’t posed, just two people being themselves and letting me capture that.

Their wedding took place at Stonover Farm in Lenox, Massachusetts, in the heart of the Berkshires.

It’s a special place, rustic, green and elegant, with natural surroundings that are absolutely stunning. The setting alone brings so much beauty to a wedding day.

Leah & Travis had their first look in a quiet, tucked-away spot, underneath a willow tree. It was so sweet.

The ceremony was held outside, and the weather was perfect. The sun was shining, and we had that beautiful, natural light photographers dream of. It made for some really special photos of their family and friends.

I’m so grateful to Linda from Mezze Events for introducing me to Leah & Travis.

I’ve worked with Mezze many times, and they’re always amazing. Their attention to detail and hospitality were a big part of what made this day so special.

The night ended with everyone dancing and celebrating together. The DJ, 74 Events, was incredible, and the energy was so joyful. I can still hear the music and laughter as I think back to it all = )
