Shauna & Jake | A Ridgewood Country Club Wedding
Shauna & Jake were married at the Ridgewood Country Club, a beautiful outdoor venue in Paramus, New Jersey.
The day could be described as intimate, elegant, and family-oriented. It was perfect.
The plan was to have a large, festive celebration. When the pandemic began to unfold and COVID-19 began to impact everything, we kept in close touch so I could be a sounding board for the couple and help offer my expertise and a listening ear.
Shauna is a nurse practitioner, so she had her finger on the pulse of the pandemic and kept the safety and comfort of her loved ones foremost in her heart as they moved forward. She wanted was was best for everyone, and that meant modifying their original plans to have a micro wedding at Ridgewood Country Club instead.
The amount of communication we had really allowed us to trust each other well before the wedding day. We had discussed at length how to best create what they need so they could have a perfect wedding day while maintaining safety protocols. In addition to photography, we had so much more to discuss as we built our relationship together.
My team and I have photographed and filmed a few weddings at Ridgewood Country Club before, but it was my first time being back since they have renovated the venue space. I am lucky, because Shauna and Jake’s wedding is one of very few weddings Ridgewood is doing this year because of the pandemic and the renovations.
