Our Wedding Photographers
If I had my way, I would photograph every wedding that comes through our studio door.
But even if I’m already booked for a wedding on your date, I know you’ll be in good hands. I’m delighted to introduce you to my awesome creative team.
Whitney Browne & Cherylynn Tsushima have that internal know-how that just can’t be taught — when to make things happen and when to let things happen.
Whitney Browne, Photographer
Whitney Browne trained for years with legendary dance photographer Tom Carvaglia, and we started working together in 2011. Whitney photographs movement and performance as well as weddings, she’s been working on a longterm project with Paul Taylor Dance Company, and her work has been published in The New York Times, Huffington Post, Dance Magazine and New York Magazine. She has an edgy Brooklyn artist vibe in her personality and her photos, and her work has an emphasis on documentation.
Cherylynn Tsushima, Photographer
Cherylynn Tsushima and I also met when she was a photojournalism intern at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, and we’ve been working together ever since. She was born and raised in California, and has degrees in journalism and dance from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. Cherylynn has a quiet presence about her and a knack for making images that are insightful and surprising in an artistic and thoughtful way. Her photos have been published in The Huffington Post and Dance Magazine. Fun fact: Whitney and Cherylynn actually danced together at Whitney’s mom’s studio when they were kids.
My photography studio supports wedding, event and dance photography & film in New York, the Berkshires and destinations anywhere. We’ve photographed more than 400 weddings, always maintaining the personal touch and easygoing manner that our clients rave about.
We photograph and film in Manhattan’s finest wedding venues, restaurants, country clubs and event spaces in the Metropolitan and Tri-State areas, barns and estates in the beautiful Berkshires, and we travel for destination weddings as far away as the Pacific Coast, the Caribbean and even Africa.
Their photography and videography is unparalleled. I never thought I would be able to relive that day over and over with the same emotions as I felt on that special day and I do every time I watch the video and look at the pictures because Christopher captured it perfectly.
In the Studio
It’s not just the day that is important, but the legacy and the love that will be passed from generation to generation. I want the albums I design to be timeless cherished family heirlooms a hundred years from now.
