This Fall, I had several fun engagement shoots with couples I’m working with for their weddings next year. With Emily & Chris, we made engagement photos at two locations: DUMBO & Central Park.
Jacob’s Pillow Dance Photos 2015 | Pillow Off-Stage, My Creative Portraits
Maybe it has something to do with me being at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival for 10 years, but I took it a little slower this summer. I had fewer portrait sessions, but dug a little deeper into each of them and really relaxed into it. I was once again wowed by the generosity and creativity and willingness of these incredible artists with intensely busy schedules to make time to do something special. I hope that these creative portraits reflect the beauty of the Pillow as a whole.

Artists go through a very busy week when they come to Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival and are pulled in many different directions. It’s more than warming up and performing. It’s participating in Pillow events for donors and guests, talking about their creative inspiration in Post-Show Talks, attending champagne toasts after opening night and a cast party after Saturday’s evening performance…
Jacob’s Pillow Dance 2015 | Daniel Ulbricht & Jessica Lang Dance Photos
It’s great to have Daniel Ulbricht & his star ballet friends back at Jacob’s Pillow. Rebecca Krohn and Tyler Angle are back this summer, too. For the second year in a row, Daniel’s show is fantastic, and these artists are performing beautiful works. I was able to photograph the first piece live during performance, and all of the other dances during dress rehearsal.

I love collaborating with other wedding artists to make beautiful photos and inspire all the couples I work with and then some. My membership in the Berkshire Wedding Collective has introduced me to many incredible vendors who make beautiful weddings happen in the Berkshires year-round.
